on the road

273

introducing the "on the road" series,
these are paintings done on location,en plein air,in one sitting, alla prima, little paintings done in about two hours.

i believe it is good for a painter to go out and leave the comfort of the studio, smell the air and paint from life, after all there is no better teacher than nature...

these paintings are not about details or super realism, what i'm trying is to capture an atmosphere,a moment you can only catch on location...

when the weather is bad i paint from the car...fixed this little box,It holds three panels and the palette slides out, underneath is a little space for materials.
